It's been a while since my last blog, I promise I'm going to better in the future. This has been a busy week with hospital visits and other pastoral duties. We have a lot to be thankful for at Union Baptist Church. John Lawerance Butler had to have a biopsy to see if he had cancer, but praise the Lord the test came back negative. We rejoice with John and Colleen for this great news. Also this week I was able to share Christ with a teenager at church and they came to know Jesus personally. God is so good.
Today Bro. Andy Boles, Jay Clark and myself went turkey hunting. We had a great time. And before you ask, no we did not kill anything, but we enjoyed being outside and enjoying God's creation. Another turkey hunt is in my near future.
For the past couple of weeks I've been preaching a series of messages on being a healthy church member. This Sunday we will continue that series and focus on being a faithful church member. I hope this series has been helpful to my members. I look forward to continuing this series until we take a break to focus on Easter.
Thanks for reading my blog. please leave a comment. I enjoying reading what you have to say.

healty church members
This Sunday I'm going to start a new sermon series titled "What is a Healthy Church Member?" Were going to look at some marks that people can look at to see if they are actively helping or hurting the church. As most of you know my desire is to see our church be what God intends for it to be so I hope each one of you is praying and seeking what God would have you to do to make this happen. Paul says in 1Cor. 16:13-16 "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints—that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us." Paul gives us instruction on what we as members of a local body can do to protect ourselves and Church for the plans of the devil. I pray you are doing these things.

Sunday's blog
Well the Arts Festival is over. I had a great time teaching magic to kids and adults. I was able to meet a lot of nice people, people who want to use the things they learn at the festival for ministry. It was very refreshing usually most people just want to learn a trick to show their friends. Church attendance was down this morning I don't know if it was the weather or what. It can be very discouraging when half the church s empty. I am very thankful for the ones who were there and I look forward to do my best to grow our fellowship. I preached on what a lukewarm person is. I pray our people fall madly in love with the Savior of the world, It is refreshing to know that he loves me far more than I could ever love Him. When I got home from church I went to bed and sleep for 3 hours woke up with a sore throat, I could hardly talk. I am tired of being sick it's getting old. I hope everyone has a great week in the Lord.
